Cooper's money was found within sight of my house. If the parachute is really Cooper's, then he must have had some way of getting from his landing spot near Amboy to the Washougal River, or possibly the sand bar in the Columbia where the money was actually found, and that implies a vehicle of some sort. If he had a vehicle, then he's long gone.

Personally, I think the FBI's theory is wrong. I think he landed safely, left evidence (including some of the money) to make it look like he died in the parachute jump, and is living a life of luxury in some third-world backwater. Whatever, he would now be in his late 60's or early 70's, and would have had plenty of time to cover his tracks.

A guy who had the balls to politely pull off that kind of hijacking, then disappear without a trace for 40 years...they need to find the guy and hire him!

    Too bad!

D.B. Cooper skyjack: Latest lead goes cold

But the FBI said Monday that DNA collected from items that belonged to a man named Lynn Doyle Cooper, a logger and Korean War veteran who died in 1999, didn't match that of a partial DNA signature that the FBI pulled in 2001 from a JCPenney clip tie the man left behind on the plane.

Um if everyone would have just watched "Prison Break" you'd know D.B. Cooper died trying to escape from Fox River prison. Duh
