    Hi

    This is my first post.

Are there any subjects (holocaust for example) that should not be discussed in this forum?

The reason I ask is that I was participating in another forum and the personal attacks became so vile, that I no longer participate.

    You advice would be welcome.

    Thanx

Holocaust Denial or Revisionism is NOT allowed here. Simple as that.

BTW there are quite a few of us from THC here too. You may reconize some of us. None of us are the known Deniers there.

Hi Alan, wherever you come from, you'll find here a friendly atmosphere. Sometimes discussions may heat up a bit but we all remain within civilised bounds, so it will be very unlikely you'll feel shabbily treated here. However be prepared to defend your posts, it's generally not enough to say the Garand was the worse rifle ever, you may be right but you'll have to explain why :)

    Welcome mate,

These are a great lot of guys and some gals, you will enjoy your stay.

I don't understand how people can not allow people to talk or discuss the Holocaust, it is a part of history and we must learn about these events to better ourselves. Of course Denial of such subjects is a concern.

It is just another way for Denialists to legitimize their lies and views. By claiming they aren't denying but "revising" history. History is revised all the time but in regards to the Holocaust its another thing altogether. The Holocaust can be revised but to the Deniers it is a goal to prove it didn't happen or is a hoax.

"Holocaust deniers do not accept the term "denial" as an appropriate description of their point of view, and use the term Holocaust revisionism instead.[4] Scholars, however, prefer the term "denial" to differentiate Holocaust deniers from historical revisionists, who use established historical methodologies.[5]"
