I will say, though, that in my opinion the most well liked nations are those who share a mutual enemy and fear of them.

Oooooh, don't say that about poor Chavez, after all he did it only after being prompted by his Bolivian colleague, Pres. Evo Morales, stole a march on him by expelling the USAmb first :) Chavez just followed suit unless he might look like a wimp :D

    Russian-Venezuelan manouevres:

    Russian Commander - "Spassibo!"
Venez. Commander - "Chibo? Me estás llamando un chibo? Cabr0n de pu!a m!ierda, vete a tu infierno capitalista, aqui va un torpedo por tu cul0!"

(no, babelfish will not be able to translate this!)

Not everything is as black and white as the BMW in Kruska's avatar. See this about Bolivia, the country is seething, and in Benechuela Chavez manages to give panem et circenses to his population by the grace of the high oil barrel cost.

Darn it, never noticed - propably gona have to use Paint or Photoshop to change that

Well Morales acctually only said "Gringo" to the US Ambassador, which he took as an hint to the Mexican-American war and therefore decided to leave :D

I think that Russia sent these bombers just to show that our bombers are not sleeping and it can reach lands of other continents fast.
By the way, I heard by my TV that Russia will can send nuclear bombs to Cuba and Venesuella after 1 January of 2009 year and USA will can't control it, cause after 1 January of 2009 year Russia-USA agreement about nuclear weapon will end. Cuba and Venesuella are not against it. It will be our protection from anti-missile system in Poland.

Screvv Russia's bombers, that's all fireworks for National-Socialist Chavez benefit.

Now Bolivia is falling to pieces, and Chavez (Venezuela) is berating the Bolivian military commanders who refused to take action against the Bolivian people!

The assho!e was today on TV saying he was ready to die for Venezuela, and he was ready to die for Bolivia too. :insane:

    Hello Soviet man,

Protection from an anti-missile system, by sending Nuke-bombers ??

Maybe you wouldn't mind explaining that logic to me.

Because nowadays, there are no madman in possession of nukes?

One more loony doesn't make a diference to me. How about the calism that the US ambassador was supporting rebel groups in Bolivia?
    Would that be unusual??

    Cheers...

    Hello Miguel B.,

let me please put it in this way:

The only "Power" around on this planet besides the US would only be NATO as a single institution, besides the possible alliance of states such as China, India, Russia, Pakistan etc.

I do not look upon the NATO in general, to be the little dog of the USA chasing a bone thrown to them. (Sorry for the harsh comparrison). As such there is a friendly to neutral democratic conterweight to the US and their foreign policy.

I think their is no need for Putins and alike to throw around their "non existing" weight in order to point out about wrong and right on this world.

Everyone has his own primary agenda, but as long as it is in controversy between democratic countries a solution seems propable and acceptable to all involved parties.

It is indeed NATO and the Europeans who need to step in and not just watch international situations and give smart ass comments. This is not ment in your direction at all Miguel - but towards our European governments.

    Regards
    Kruska

Well Miguel, with the exception of N. Korea and Kim Jong Ill I would say that the leaders of the countries possessing nuclear weapons are all very sane and capable leaders. In N. Korea's case, Kim Jong Ill actually used the tests as a means to acheive economic aid, be removed from the state sponser of terrorists list (which has yet to occur), and to regain frozen assets. Hardly the act of a madman, despite the fact that he is still evil.

    Hello mikebatzel,

I don't think it is about sane or capable. Hussein to me wasn't sane and he was also a capable leader.

It is about the possible usage and as such the command and initialisation structure of these weapons. And as such a dictator or non democratic government which possesses these kind of weapons is a threat to anyone.

    Regards
    Kruska

Chavez better be careful, with all that hot air in proximity to all that oil and natural gas......it would be a terrible waste if all that went up in smoke:D

If I were the Russian PM, I wouldn't waste my time flying the copied version of the B-1 to Venezuela but rather negotiate a nice naval base to replenish my Alpha's with crew and stores and put a training base for some of my air superiority fighters. A defensive response to ABMs.

Or maybe I'll just become Czar and solve everything:D......(place Vader Lied here)followed by Mirror Mirror music score.....Spock looks very Leninesque with his beard:D
