I cannot even begin to imagine the physical and psycological torture any field of conflict could be. I feel blessed that so many did so much for us all in ww2 but would certainly never want to put myself back there and then. Dont get me wrong, should there ever be a need for me to step up to the patriotic plate Id be there. I visit the D Day beaches every year to tour the beaches and museums and in my own little way pay my respects to all who gave everything.

Fighting in WW2 could possibly be rather unpleasant.

Until you've been to like your 10th "rodeo" the "BONG! BONG! BONG! FIRE! FIRE! FIRE! FIRE IN COMPARTMENT ONE TACK ONE OH SIX TACK TWO LIMA! AWAY THE FLYING SQUAD AWAY!" at two in the morining is nothing to sneeze at.
War or not, shipboard damage control is a scary, dangerous business when it is for real. Been there done that. Fires, flooding, you name it.
A boring watch turns into a cluster @#$%@#% in an instant when half the plant goes down and you have 22 birds in the air and there's now nowhere to land at two in the morning.
For naval forces war is the same as peace. You fight like you train. And, the only way to train is to steam at sea alot. The best navies in WW 2 and today or, for that matter 200 years ago spent their time at sea.

They didn't have AK-47s in WWII . Sounds like another videogame player. I suggest you read you read up on what the war was really like and you might want to try using spell check too BTW.
