I work with people who were at the Pentagon when the jet hit. I'll trust what they saw over your assumptions anyday. For those of you who need more:

Here's another link that you can find in the above link

By the way, it was a 757. So much for your keen interest.

The thread starter didn't post anything about conspiracy. The video is essentially a rehash of some very old news, essentially Bush Jr gave a speech saying he say the first plane hit the WTC on TV on 9-11. Something which wasn't possible as the video only surfaced the day after the attacks. This is not exactly new, and not exactly surprising. I can't imagine giving speeches almost every day of my life and having them constantly fact checked, I'd screw something up eventually.

Was what Bush Jr said wrong? Yes. was this an ominous lie? No.

I can't say I'm the biggest fan of the guy, or any politician really, but this seems a bit nit-picky to call it a blatant lie.

Why do these new-age conspiracy theory guys always have a DNA helix somewhere on their posters? :D

Im not calling it a lie. Nor am I a fan of Bush as I have said quite a few times. But the thread starter actually didn't say anything other then just posting the link. But obviously the poster believes that Bush did and posted the the link as some sort of proof. And when people claim that Bush lied that in and of itself is an attempt to show that there was some type of conspiracy that these paranoid and gulible people believe in. That there was some ulterior motive behind the whole thing other then a bunch of religeous zealots committing murder.

I hear you JCF, it just seemed some were thinking this was more conspiracy stuff. ;) The truth is much less sensational than this. Occam's razor at work.

JC, you will not get it from him. As I said before, "Light fuse, run away, watch fireworks". People believe in conspiracies because they are fun. Like the JFK assassination, people rather like to believe in the "magic bullet" rather than accept the fact that the seats where offset so the president could be more viewable to the public he served.

And that Connelly had turned partly around to try to see what was going on behind him as he was hit by the "magic" bullet. He wasn't sitting ramrod straight in the seat looking ahead.

Oh heavens, now I am really dragging the thread far afield.

von Rundstedt, I have always respected you and your postings on so many other subjects but, I cannot respect what you said in this post. As a matter-of-fact, I think it should be one of the top ten all-time most simply fiction-based, postings of all-time and should go into the Best Fiction Story Hall of Fame..

However, if you turned this into a FICTION story and published it, it might make for some interesting reading. I'd buy a copy of it. If I liked it, i'd pass it to another who might also enjoy great fiction. If I didn't like it, it would become a prime target for at least 50 9mm rounds from my nasty nazi-marked 1943 AC made Walther P-38.

    Go slow, and best regards-C.

So what those above are saying if i am correct is that I and many others like me have no right to question the US Governments official version of what took place on 11th September 2001.

C.Evans and to all others there is a saying and it goes something like this.

"I may not agree with what you say but i'll defend your right to say it".

Oh, you have the "right"* to question, you just chose not to provide any supporting data. You questioned, I provided rebuttal to your unsupported supposition. You provided opinion, I provided eyewitness accounts and photographs. Never once, I repeat never once, did I allude that you have no "right" to question the US government. However, how much weight your disbelief carries here, when it is from the other side of the world, is at best problematic.

*if you can say that anyone has "rights" in this privately owned forum. I think of posters here as having permission from the owner to post.

Sorry JCF, I made a post earlier about how the thread starter wasn't positing a conspiracy theory, but I didn't see this post. The image is absolutely appropriate.
