which battle was dad wounded in?

hi all,
my dad was in the 2nd battalion, cameronians( scottish rifles) from 39 - 44.when he was discharged as being unfit for service.
i have recently received his service record which states he was wounded in action, italy on 1st november 1943. followed by the letters, oze ( or ose) bnaf, m6191.
i know what the bnaf stands for, but not the others ..... any ideas.
also, does anyone know which battle the battalion was in on 1 november, or where i could find that information?
