Sarah should cleanly wipe Biden right off the floor but if the media has anything to do with adding/subtracting .......... then ...........

 

I can't say that I will. I have to oversee my kids getting their homework done -- one because he will need some help and the other because even though he needs no help, he needs to be forced to do it! My wife will give me talking points after it is over and I'll read the transcripts (assuming I can find them!).

What ticks me off is that stupid commentators on biased networks-such as msnbc-have been browbeating Sarah as much as those communis-er-leftists can. Those I.D.10.T's are trying to make Sarah out to be someone stupid-that she aint.

If I would watch it, it would be on the PBS link. But then again I have some socks to sort, and whites to wash. So oh well.

I hope (but doubt) she will hold up as well as Dan Quayle did against Senator Benston (sp), and at least Quayle came from a long line of politicians. And Quayle was a wash.

Don't matter to me one way or the other. If I wanted to see a debate of some substance I would like to see one between proposed candidates for Sec. of the Treasury from each side. And their OWN concepts of how to fix this mess!

 

Maybe big "Joe" can tell us all about the "Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act" that he was the big banana for.
How it made it more difficult for consumers to discharge debt under "Chapter 7".
Nothing about big business doing the governments bidding though, is there ?

I have to call this debate a draw. Biden wisely kept after McCain. Palin tried to bait him, but he didn't take the bait. There wasn't even any body shots.

To her credit, Palin didn't stumble, but she also failed to attack.

Biden was smooth, he's an idiot, but he played to his constituency.

This was a battle of ideas and Palin would've done herself well had she studied tapes of Reagan. McCain's staff should've done this (making her study Reagan).

When Sarah called him on his Chapter 7 he "Poo Poo ed" it as only affecting 10% of the people.
Translation ... 100% of people who file for bankruptcy.

I will trust her. First off she quelled corruption in the only arctic state the US has. She took on big oil companies and kicked their @$$. She rose from humble origins, and is more a woman of the people than any other candidate I've seen. I loved the one answer she gave. I'm sorry if you don't feel I'm answering your questions but I am telling the American people how it is. It was great. What was Biden doing. He kept referring to himself in the third person. Skunk, your spot on about the global warming. I liked the comments she had about it. It's to early to tell if it's man-made considering how long the world has been around. I believe DA said the exact same things in another thread.

 

I'm sorry to hear this, I also have family who is mentaly disabled, an unfortunately, more mentaly disabled than Mrs Palin.

But you misunderstood me : I have nothing against mentaly disabled people.

I just think she's - really even if lightly - mentaly disabled, and that mentaly disabled people are not suited to be Vice President of the USA.

In case you also had bigot persons in your family, I want to underscore the fact that I have nothing against bigots, but, again, I think she is a bigot and I also think that bigots are not suited to be Vice President of the USA.

I agree with Lias co Pilot, Palin did well and since Americans are in a anti-Washington mood, Palin is the only one of the 4 who is not 'Washington'. By allowing Palin to be Palin, we can see her common sense character, which in my opinion is refreshing. What people are saying about Palin, people said about Reagan. So those who attack her 'naitivity' are just being hypocritical. I'd rather have someone say that they don't know but will deal with it rather than give me the old washington tap dance.

frankly, I like more her "up on the stage in bathing suit" period, but have to admit, the fact she later had to mary her pregnant daughter to Mr "poor idiot who didn't managed to pull out before it's too late" was pure gold.

 

You can not protect yourself against this sort of thing. In my town the local football club mascot (a man in a monkey suit) stood for Mayor as a joke-he was elected! Not only that he re-elected for another term.. The man is-to put it bluntly-not to bright. He is under the impresion he is and thus is a constant source of amusment as he blunders through the Town Hall. He is completely in the pocket of the local ruling Party but can not see it. In short you can not protect people against their own mistakes.

And her daughter is not married. Though she plans to marry Levi, I don't see how her daughters personal life is any concern. Many 17-18 year olds get pregnant all the time in todays world.
