Hi Scott, kudos and I thank you for lending some of your talent to this thread to make it more stable again. ;-))

I can't "see" where m-kenny can get his impressions of what happened from-unless he's a huge fan of msnbc? I'm constantly amazed by the reactions to this stuff by certain segments of out population-local too as far as that goes. The bama-lama-Teeth duo-have never not once, ever said just what they are going to change and or fix. Yet i've heard more certai things come from McCain and Palin.

One thing that always gets my goat-is when the democrats are always saying that it's going to take 10 years to start producing more oil when they start their testing and drilling and such. That's the biggest bag of balderdash I have ever heard. I had a long talk with my Brother-in-Law about this-and he said-much like I figured-that it would take a maximum of two years to do so. My Bro-in-Law has been working at refineries for over 30 years and is one of the higher-ups at Valero. I also have a Nephew-in the game as well-working for I thik Celenese I think? Anyway, my Nephew is working in Colorado somewhere-testing a plant that he designed (he's only about 25 yrs old w/ a few yrs experiance and doing one hell of a great job ;-))) Anyway, he's working on coming up with a quick way to get a major facility on-line to produce Ethanol. This testing has only taken less than a year and they are converting long closed (thanks to enviromentalists) refineries that were not geared for producing anything other than what they were designed for.

Sorry I got greatly off topic but, Sarah is our gal, and she definately has my vote.

PS, tried to give you rep points for helping out but was told to spread them around a bit. However, you have my salute.

    Thanks Scott and take care--C.

You have me at a disadvantage. Is msnbc some form of chat-group or something?

I never use my computer to find out what other people think and I do not visit blogs or argue politics with anyone. The closest I will get is if I am on a site like this looking for something new on the Military Forums and a heading in the 'new posts' catches my eye. If I have time I may contribute. Its very hit or miss and there is nothing worse that getting in some stupid fight over politics. If I wanted a load of ranting I can go to the pub and listen to the local drunks.
Sorry but I get my news from mainly the BBC and newpapers.
To further confound you I dont give a toss who wins your election. This gives me the ability to see that you think the sun shines out of this Lady's posterior. I hope you realise this may have affected your ability to be impartial on the matter. I saw the debate and It was nothing special, just two people frightened they might make a mistake and say what they really felt rather than what their media coaches had taught them to say.
I don't spend my time lambasting politicians and then do a 180 degree turn when one of them seems to agree with me.

Was expecting that at some point both sides start shovelling the smelly stuff on each other but if this starts it I won´t listen to anything they say until the election is over....

I felt that Biden over-overwhelmingly won the debate, I fail to see how anyone can think Palin did. To her record Palin spoke well, redeemed herself after that train-wreck interview with Katie Couric and made alot of good points on spending. However she never gave a actual plan on Iraq, made several factual errors about Afghanistan, and made several factual errors about McCain's voting record. Biden had superior knowledge of foreign policy and all candidates voting records by miles, and was much more fluent than speaking showing me that he is more ready to lead than Palin who needs everything to be scripted in advance. A world leader should know basic facts about the current foreign policy situation. People are making fun of Biden for messing up the ''Depression/TV'' thing when 90% of the time he's a great speaker. Palin thought Al-Qaeda was Shia and didn't know the name of General Mckiernen....what's worse? I still like and respect McCain though, don't misunderstand me as some hardcore left winger, I was on the Ron Paul bandwagon (the most Conservative candidate) for about a year. I'm in the minority here it seems and I don't think they are great but I support Obama/Biden in 2008.

As three of the four other guys I play poker with (all government employees, Politician, Lawyer (always bluffing), Treasury, Law Enforcement) agree.
Once your head is in the "Trough" ... keep eating.
If someone bites you on the ear, and you raise your head to scream, your place will be taken.
These so-called "Damning Mistakes", "Critical Positions" on (shill issues), "Decisive Debates", and "Low-Blow" attacks, well ... you asked for it.
It make the Cosa Nostra - Yakuza - Russian Mafia look like Sunday School.
It's the most "Lucrative" job on the planet, did you really expect one or the other to lay down, and let the other one have it all, while they walk away with nothing, after getting this far ?

for Emperor of Earth ... my vote goes to ... at least you'll "Know" where you stand, or fall (on your sword)

I don't know what all of any American Channels you guys can get in the U.K, but, msnbc is a sister station to nbc. msnbc is just another one of those TV News networks-that are definately leftist liberal in nature. Eveny one of their shows they have-that I have bothered to look at even for just s few minutes-is filled with nothing but democratic liberals. A case in point is the show that keith obermann (SP?) is host of. IF you listen to him and his remarks-you would find that 99% of his remarks are just plain bullshit-and so far around the bend. Im not saying this because I am a Conservative/Republican-im saying this because I used to leave my TV on that channel-just for noise-when I was doing some research at home on a WWII subject. Anyway, when obermanns show was on, every now and then i'd hear him make some really stupid comment about something I knew to be different than what was said. Well, I actually tried listening to a weeks worth of his show-to give it an honest chance-and thought it was the worst trash I had ever heard.

Recently this guy got demoted for making some obscene comments on something-and I THINK that something was in the name of Sarah Palin-but not sure? Anyway, he didn't know that his microphone was still "hot" and he was overheard saying some pretty bad things. Another msnbc Ahchor-got demoted as well.

Anyway, sorry the explanation was so long but, maybe this will give you a better idea of what this news station is all about. Also, I guess another good example of what this station is about can be compared to the weekly news rag called: The National Inquirer. I don't know if that rag is available in the UK or not? but they are filled with far-fetched stories-such as: "I was abducted by Aliens and spent a year living in their spaceship. Things like that.

Im with you in that I don't care to argue political issues either but, the reason why I do bother with them, is so that the other side of the story can be told too. Then, if you give each side an equal balance-it might make it easier to understand exactly what is going on. Believe it or not but, I take what I hear from both sides-with a grain of salt. Just because I do like Sarah Palin-doesn't mean that I worship the ground she walks on.

    Best regards-Carl.

Might I dare ask before I reply to ya but, do you live in a big city or in a smaller town. I KNOW how divided people are and what sied of the fence they are in when it comes to knowing people living in your State. I also know that "Beantown" is a hub of liberalism in your state. I know about alot of things to do with your state-thanks to having several friends who live there.

I watched the debate, dont see how Palin could be considered a winner. While Biden isnt exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, he looked like a genius sparring with her.

YouTube - SARAH PALIN - YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID

This candidate is potentially the next United States vice president?!?!

 Can anyone tell me what she's talking about??

frankly I thought they both did piss poor, as said on all the media the VP debate was watched more than the 2 silly guys running for the big one. I usually detest watching a political rivelry on the tele as it bores me to tears and all they do is snip at one another.

to be truthful Sarah is better looking than all of them put together but has misplaced demands on her tiny shoulders so much so she is in the eyes of the media 24x7 and will not get away from it till her party loses if it does.

Biden is an ass and that can never be changed.

must say after hearing through a relative who is in politics on the East coast the repubs are going to try and catch the demos with their pants down in a character assassination ------- that is going to cost the repubs if this is carried through. Just play the frickin game of dealing with issues you folks ......geezo

HI Jason, Slava, E, Jeff, well said all you Gents-I hope biden (aka) The Joker, or Teeth, is a big enough ass to hurt obama-lama-ding-dongs chance at winning. I never have liked the guy-neither does anyone else in my immediate family and who I ask if the subject it mentioned. However, i've also had several conversations with people who are not tunnel-visioned, but blind-meaning no disrespect for people who are without visioin.

All I know is im casting my vote as soon as early voting is started here. Sarah's got my vote even with any flaws she might come with. I can't vote for some tick-turd who has less than four years execuative experiance.

Well I come from the Greater Boston Metropolitan area, Boston is only about 25 minutes away from my area (with out traffic that is). I want to stress the fact I am not a sterotypical New England Liberal. As for my family my Father is a registered Independent and my mother is a registered Democrat, although to be fair neither of them are necessarily committed to any specific group or person. My parents have only voted a few times (Dad Bush in 2000, and Mccain in the 2008 MA primaries, and my mom for Obama in the 2008 MA primaries.) My Mom is for Obama/Biden in 2008, my dad is undecided and might not even vote this time. Honestly I am more politically active and informed t han my parents are so who I was raised around dosen't have much of an effect on me, neither does my location. I supported Ron Paul in the 2008 primaries and chose the lesser of to luke warm tickets which in my view is Obama/Biden for 2008.

I realize you are 16 and attend the mASSachusetts public screwall system
but please tell us why in god's name do you want to ruin your future? Why you thought that Palin who burried smiling Joe Biden, the Liberals liberal, didn't counter every point, avoided Gwen Effil's(Yes, I'm writing a book about Obama) liberal agenda based questions, how can you not appreciate her sticking it to the drive by media? Do you believe what you read in the Globe or the NY Times or see on ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC and don't think it is Liberal biased(hint they all are contributors to the Democrat Party)? Oh perhaps you're a PBS fan, hint they're the worst biased of the bunch, fan of Bill Moyer's, he was the press secretary for the Johnson Administration which really screwed up this country, remember Vietnam, democrats like Americans to loose wars, are responsible for things like the Great Society.....newsflash....it didn't work.

    Nor will the bail out:rolleyes:
Please, you think Couric doesn't have an agenda??? Btw she's not doing very well in the ratings......Oh that's right Fox leads all the networks, wonder why;)
I wouldn't say that was the best example of her strengths

Why would you let the enemy know what your plan for Iraq was on national television? Why would any country say to belligerents well we're planning to leave on this date?

    Which were?

    Which were?

Are you parroting your teacher from school?

Nonsense, he has, little if no, executive experience. He has judicial experience through chair(we all know about judicial activism) and he was a councilor, but the fact is he has always made his decisions through committee....not on his own. The same to a far lesser extent is true for Obama.

    Hitler was a good speaker.;)

Then encourage those of voting age to vote for him;)

No misunderstanding.....a rose by any other name

Ron Paul was a Libertarian not a conservative, although he ran as a Republican. Most young people liked him because of the Libertarian stance on weed and legalization.

Romney was the most conservative candidate until the drive by media put forth their anti religious campaign of fear.

    Certainly not in Taxachusetts.

Well perhaps you have learned something, but as long as you support Democrat and not conservative you risk your future and someone will have their hand in your pocket and you'll be scratching your head come pay check time and tax time.

Tell me another one! The Bunkerhill bridge is for sale:D

Let me guess your mom is a teacher? Your Dad a college professor?

Most of us weren't born yesterday, if you live under your parents roof they do influence you.

mASSachusetts is one of the most screwed up states in the country next to CA, LA, MI, VT and NJ. Why because of Democrat leadership and people not focusing on issues that count. One last question, Who knows how to spend your money better, you or the government?;)

The purpose of this post was to educate, save your soul and future as well as to keep those who think like your parents out of my wallet.

It should be noted that after September 11th, which was from a lack of intel and security standpoint, on Bill Clinton's watch, there have been no terrorist attacks in the US. So I guess maybe we are attempting to save both your body and soul.;)
