Age 84, 1n December of 1944 I was a 20 year old 2nd. Lt., Anti-Tank Company, 422nd. Infantry, fighting in the Battle of the Bulge. I just posted a What-If question on the WWII Europe Forum. Please look at it and give me your comments. Looking forward to your thoughts. SirSwindon. And yes, in Wessex Wyvern's posting (below) --- at age 84 --- I am the oldest owner-driver of a Lotus.
Welcome sir, and thank you for your service to our great country. Enjoy your time spent on the forum.
Good to meet you, Sir Swindon. Could you tell us of your expieriences. It seems to me that the 106th has gotten a raw deal as history has been written. Were you one of the ones from the 422nd to get out of the Schnee Eiffel? Edit...I just read your What If (which I moved to the What If section of the forum for you) and saw where you said you were wounded and captured.
Welcome to the Forum, Sir Swindon. It is always an honour to welcome a World War II Veteran to join us. I hope you will enjoy being here and I look forward to reading any information or memories you wish to share with us.
Sir Swindon -- Welcome to the forum and thank you for your sacrifice for, and service to, our country. I look forward to reading your posts! Cheers!
Hello Sir Swindon. How did you come up with your user name? I live in Swindon , Wiltshire. Were you ever based there in WW2? Is this you in a Lotus? That SirSwindon was 82 in 2006 AS your Licence Plate has POW on it I assume you are the same chap! http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f22...our-new-elise-pictures-here-4418/index53.html http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f3/tonneau-cover-elise-20407/
