This moon is doomed. Mars, named for the Roman god of war, has two tiny moons--Phobos and Deimos--whose names are derived from the Greek for fear and panic. These Martian moons may well be captured asteroids originating in the main asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter or perhaps from even more distant reaches of the solar system. The larger moon, Phobos, is a cratered, asteroid-like object in this stunning color image from the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. Phobos orbits so close to Mars that gravitational tidal forces are dragging it down. Now that we know this, I bet we can get some decent deals on real estate since the owners are going to be afraid of getting stuck with stuff they cannot unload as we get closer to the cosmic end of the Martian Moon! (Kind of like the deals we will get on Florida real estate as the polar ice cap melts!)

Man made global warming is not disproved. Moon falling on Mars? Who cares in 100 million years many things can happen locally (in our solar system) so, there might even (unlikely) not be a Mars in 100 million years. Cheers...
