Same as any other two that are used together frequently that don't belong, or make sense. How politics? Politically correct has nothing to do with politics either. It's a cheap way to cop-out with a popular excuse, you don't have to explain. Same Same. Popularity does not make it so.
Why not say you can't be bothered with explaining yourself, or (the popular version) that you've no time for things that are not politically correct. Which is the "Exit" you're looking for now.
