With such a terrible President as Obama, the USA will have big troubles, like a major economical crisis ; maybe even a few wars !

    Oh wait...

So the polls are accurate after all. Hope ya Yankees all the best regardless of your political creed and have a good evening.

Well, whatever he does as president, I have to say that his speech after his rival conceded is one for the books. His speech was masterfully crafted and very touching and inspiring. His use of a phrase from Lincoln's Gettysburg address added a good touch of drama and this was heightened when he mentioned the 106-year-old woman who voted in the polls.
Good luck to him. He faces a very daunting job.

Congratulations! In a hard (and often not the most cleanely) fought election he came out on top.

For all that, congratulations also for Senator McCain for accepting defeat gracefully and with dignity. A very moving speech well made, excellent work.

I disagree with it. Oh well, apparently we were in the minority. I wonder why Americans would vote for a man backed by Iran and N. Korea? Oh well we should be friends. Lets give them what they want. What ticks me off is that the Dem's have congress too. Things go better in the US when the two are split. Gotta give it to Obama, he is an excellent speaker. The time for words are now over. lets see if he can back them up

Fantastic result. This election certainly energized the population, be they Republican or Democrat. A win for democracy.

Well, I woke up today and Obama was still the winner (unlike in another election I can recall). That said, I am already complaining about some policies/things he's said. Like withdrawing all troops from Iraq in 16 months?!?!?!

    And so it begins...

You say that but McCain was backed by Al Quaeda so it all works out even in the end ;)

Three reasons why Obama won ...

    1. Bush

    2. Bush

    3. Bush

Obamas speech saying that "we" may not be able to do it in one term.

    "Precious"

At least now he's talking a little closer to the truth.

You have All the tools any President could hope for ...

    Do well.

The entire city of Chicago is celebrating Obama's victory, people were literally dancing in the streets. I'm not much of a street dancer, I stayed in with my wife watching the election on TV.

I think Obama would have won anyways, but the economy and Bush turned a slim victory into a rout. I also think that while Obama has a huge swell of support, he has a huge job a head of him. He won't be as good as his supporters say he will and he won't be as bad as his opponents say, but at least his approval rating can't be any worse than the current guy.
