What kind of helmet is this?????

I have had this helmet about a year and i havnt found out what kind of helemet it is.

Anyone know what kind it is???

 

Looks like someone cut down a Luftschutz helmet to make it look like a Fallschirmjager one

 

I think it is a German civil fireman's helmet, but I could be wrong.

 

Harry is correct, it is part of a German Luftschutz helmet.

The helmets were produced in one, two and three piece variants. The latter two models had their individual pieces brazed together to form a complete helmet.

The brazing could easily have been ground off and the rimmed part of the helmet removed.

 

We know that that's a "luftschutz" fireman"s helmet, but I recently bought ($35) the helmet below, which also is supposedly a fireman's helmet (aluminum, no lining, no stamps; with chinstrap though) from the same era.
What's your opinion....??

 

i have this helmet and its defenitely not this one.

 

Looks like Deutsche Polizei Parade helmet or Civic model helmet.

 

Oddly enough there is an article in the APR 2009 issue of Miliatry Heritage magazine in pages# 21-23 by Brian Bell on the various helmets of the Nazi Police organizations.
