Hey guys, Since a few days I am in the possesion of 2 british p37 ammo pouches. I would like to know which people wore these pouches and how the cartridges are inserted in the pouch (because i think they can only go upside-down). I hope you guys can help me out so I can gather around a full historic-correct p37 webbing which belongs with these pouches. both pouches were made by MW and S LTD (Marin Wright and Sons Ltd), the date is 1943. Also one of the two has another stamp with an arrow and the number 26 below it, but i don't know what that means. here are some pictures: both pouches plus clips single pouch stamp 1 stamp 2 Kind regards, Hinzor
Hinzor, Upside down is right. Each pouch will take two clips. This type of pouch was issued to non-infantry troops, such as tank crews. Steve W.
Does anyone have a picture of a non-infanterist wearing these things???? because i wanna make a complete webbing with these pouches, but I don't know what to look for. The straps and the belt are no problem though, but everything else is a mystery to me because i havent seen photos of people wearing these things. I already know it was used by drivers and other non infantry. I also read something about WO's that wore it, but i don't know what a WO is I hope some people here can profide me from information about the complete webbing that a p37 non infanterist would have worn together with these pouches. Kind regards, Hinzor
