Hi everyone, I found this site while searching for information on what my father did and where he traveled during his tour with the army during ww2. He died in 1997 and never talked about it and I am interested to know all about his time spent in the war. I also have a gun he brought home from Belgium that I want to know more about. No one in any gun stores in my area can give me any information about it and told me to find out when and where he was in Belgium. Happy New Year to everyone and I look forward to getting to know you all.

Hi Tami! This is a great palce to get the answers you're looking for. Do you have any details on your Dad's service? Also, if you have any pics, we'd love to see them.

    Thanks!

Tami -- Welcome to a fine place and Happy New Year to you, too! As Doughboy noted, we would love to hear whatever service details you may have of your father. Also, you may want to post pictures of your gun in the militaria section of this forum and post your questions there.

    Cheers!

Welcome to the Forum, Tami. I'm certain that one of the knowledgeable members will be able to assist you.

My Dad never knew how interested I was in his military service, although I suspect he still would have been reticent. I've learned more since his death in 1996 than I did when he was alive. I hope you will be as fortunate. I too found this site when searching for information. It is addictive - and as you have already seen - some very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful individuals on the site can make visiting here on a regular basis nearly irresistable. I hope you enjoy it here as much as I have.
