The Thompson

    Actually the Thompson was a great sniper rifle, out to 15 feet! Only surpassed by the Model 97 Winchester 12 gauge pump shot gun.

    Perhaps if you were to use a 1.5 scope perhaps you could work it if your enemy didnt have a gun but the recoil would likely throw off even your first shot.

    in the hands of someone that knew what there doing the thompson could hold its own and did in test with the BAR. the Thompson shoot just as good out to 400yd. farer out the BAR with it's 30-06 was superior. just my 2 cent from new guy retired Marine Gunnery Sgt semper fi:D
