Welcome! This is a fine place. I am sure you will enjoy your time here. Thanks for your service in the military. When did you serve? I hope you will tell us more of your experience. Cheers!
Hi, My name is Tina Eaton Blackwell. I live in Columbia, S.C. I am 58 yrs. old, married, with a daughter and two granddaughters, ages 14 and 11. I am originally from Myrtle Beach, S.C. My interest in the WWII Forum is due to my dad. His name was Glen Edward Eaton, and he was from Ararat, Virginia. He was in the 635th AAA AW Battalion, Company "C". I have tried for so long to find someone who might have been in daddy's company and would remember him. But, so far, I have not been successful. I would love to know more about the 635th if there is anyone out there who may have been in that battalion, or anyone whose dad might have been in that battalion. Thanks so much...God bless...Tina
Welcome, Tina. I would suggest you start your own thread. You'll get much more traffic if you either use your father's name or his unit as the heading. I'm on vacation, or I would begin looking. My father served in the 505th and 900th AAA AW units before being converted to infantry. Good luck in your search. I'm sure there are many others who would be willing to help.
Welcome to the Forums, Tina. I encourage you to start your own thread in the Military Service Record & Genealogical Research section. I wish you well in your search. It may be difficult to find a WWII veteran who served with your father, but it is not unheard of for relatives of veterans to find each other here. In the mean time, I did find something that might interest you: Letter from William H. Humphrey, 635th AAA AW Battalion (C Battery)
