With the Super Bowl only a few hours away, I was surprised to log on and not find an active thread about it! Between now and kickoff, let us know who you think will win, the score, and why.

I am picking Arizona over Pittsburgh by a score of 35 to 23. Kurt Warner will throw for 360 yards and both Boldin and Fitzgerald will receive for more than 125 yards. The aerial assault will be the difference maker.

Bonus prediction, Willy Parker will leave in the first half with an injury.

I am definitely neutral on the subject who should win but for the first time in years I have time to watch the game so I have the drinks ready etc so looking forward to the game starting.

I will watch but I really don't care. The sting of the game two weeks ago still hurts. Ah, at least there will be booze.

Since I am always "rooting" for the underdog I'm pulling for the Cards. Don't expect them to win but they have a more decent chance than I think other procrastinators are giving them. Of course it will not be just Warner and their offense. If they can balance their running game and defense as well as they have in the play-off games they have more than a sporting chance.

Here is a funny aside, back in the war years these two teams merged so they could field a "pro" team and continue playing. The year before the Steelers had merged with the Eagles and the team been known as the Steagles, but the intra-state animosity couldn't be overcome. So in 1944 the Steelers blended with the then Chicago Cardinals from Illinois and became (officially) the Card-Pitts.

They were one of the worst "teams" of all time, and the sports writters and radio broadcasters of the time started calling the team the Carpets, because everybody walked all over them. They never won a game (0-10?), and their best running back who was a 4-F exempt young man, walked off the team and I believe never played.

Too funny/ironic, now the teams meet in the Super Bowl.

I don't care for either team but would like the Cards to win. Outside of their respective home towns, neither team has much of a following. The Cardinals have been the laughing stock of the NFC for as long as they have been part of it. The Steelers have an over-rated Quarterback and an A-Hole of a receiver in Ward. Not to mention they're from Pittsburgh, which is in the middle of nowhere. Most PA fans follow the Eagles.

They're still playing football? I though it ended when Florida rubbed Oklahoma's nose in it right after New Years. Oh wait, you're talking about them old guys, the ones too old to play college ball anymore.

Recorded it - didn't start 'til 11.30 pm. Had a Snow Day today so watched it, using Fast Forward to cut out all the boring bits. Superb game and, as Kai said, what an ending.

Hey ease off, at least he got one of the total scores right! 23 points, and an odd number which has to include a safety or something else weird. I guess you could get to 23 with a TD-PAT, Field Goal, combo set but that is an odd number.

Still a great second half, and final quarter. I never saw a single ad, just changed the channels and ignored them. My viewing habits must stink for the people who pay the beaucoup bucks for the ads. I didn't even watch half-time crap.

I like the guy ok (Bruce S.), but even on the good speakers I have that isn't the way I like to hear him. I can do without the "glitz" on my TV, if I want that I'll shell out for a concert in person. I set my timer and went to a different channel. I didn't watch Paul M. solo, Mick J. and the Stones when they played, or I see the (wardrobe malfunction) "titty show" from Janet either.

Didn't and don't feel bad for missing any of the half-time shows or ads at all. I have a sneaking suspicion that the fourth time "Up With People" performed I just started going "yawn, and?"
