I should have said best assortment of period vehicles regardless of livery. I seem to recall that the descision to film in Yugoslavia was made, in part, because the Yougos had an abundance of American and German equipment.
Most of german trophy armour after war was repaired and sent to Albania as help. Some of the vehicles were left in museum, but they were probably not in working condition. Yugoslav army used T-34, SU-76, Sherman, M18, M36 and M3 for several decades after the war. T-34 dressed up like Tiger was done pretty well, for average audience. At least it looked more authentic than Sherman hippie commander.
Will you knock it off with them negative waves?!? In all seriousness, it is a pretty enjoyable movie -- one of my favourites.
Oh you gave it away GP, we could've rambled on like this for weeks until the mods swooped in to shut us down! Yer turn now.
I think we all know how it turned out the last time that was tried; that wasn't even a thread I liked!
Yes, about a year ago I believe. Rough times. All better now though. Just one more; "We ain't got no booze"
Bingo! "You get a cookie." That's one of Crapgame's quotes near the end of the movie if anyone was paying attention....
Oops. My apologies! That quote is one of my favourites, but whenever I mentioned it, everyone seems to draw a blank - I thought the video might help. And someone else can feel free to take it - I didn't do much besides spoil all the fun
