I just stumbled across this forum, and being a military history freak, and WW2 buff, this looked pretty good.I'm a retired cavalry NCO with three tours in Iraq, medically retired after being wounded on my last tour in 2006.I'm looking forward to lots of good WW2 discussions
Howdy CavTrooper! First, thank you for your service to our Nation! You've come to the right forum to discuss and debate ww2! Lots of knowledgeable folks here as well as a few WWII veterans too. And there are nearly ten years of discussion threads to look through too! Have fun!
Cavtrooper, Thank you, on behalf of my family for going into harm's way and I trust that your disability is a mild one. Jump on in and add comments, we'd like to hear from you.
well,I got my brains scrambled a bit over there-sustained some neuro damage from the last IED strike I was in,but I walked away more or less intact, otherwise. The medical board would'nt let me remain on active duty, but after 17 years active, and ten years guard,it was time to come home anyway
Welcome! There's tons of great info here. I'm just starting here but have already learned alot. I'm sure you'll enjoy it as well. Thanks for your service. I work with Army Aviation as a civillian and enjoy working with active duty soldiers and civillians alike.
