born in 43,my dad is a ww2 navy vet.i worked for the post office in boston ma.when i started there in 66,the work force was almost all vets.ww2 and korean vets.to early for vietnam.bunch of hard working,hard drinking guys.with a lot of life left.most are gone now my dad is 89,says at the reunion the party gets smaller every year.cant find a ww2 vet to carry the flag in parades any more.
