You know it is good to see former enemies honour each other such as this incident where the site is protected and having a wreath placed at the site. Who says there cannot be honour in war.
PzJgr, There was no honour in any war with Japan, they fought a particularly brutal & cruel war and most Aussie (and I assume Brit, Indian, American etc) soldier who fought in the Pacific detested them. 60plus years later we can afford to be less hateful, but dont think that their actions have been forgotten.
Point taken but the actions taken are honorable regardless of deep felt feelings. I agree during the war there was no honour shown but afterwards, there have been instances of healing. Great find nevertheless.
An interesting weapon, one wonders what might have happenned had the grmans not chickened out at similiar plans regarding Gibralter.
