Apparently, if it has a spell checker, it doesn't do it automatically. Please tell me how it is done, if possible.

    Thank you,
    Bob Guercio

Bob, if you've been around the forums at all, you will see that there is no spell checker. Since , for many, English is not the primary language, I think it would be a hardship, and there have been many discussions with our British cousins over the correct spelling of words like "color" or colour". We're a pretty tolerant bunch, and proper spelling is not high on most of our lists.

    Post away.

Most web-browsers (like Mozilla Firefox) have internal spellcheckers themselves I believe. For instance, using Mozilla, if I spell a word incorrectly while typing this reply, it highlights the word in red and lets me corect it.

If you use IE, on the top right of the box where you type there is a spell check button, but I had to download the program to make it work. Now if only there was a grammer check.......

Musso, of course you are correct, but the red line is kind of faint, and if you are posting in a fit of concentration, it's easy to miss. Hence, the need for the edit button, which I use frequently.

In any case, I have not found any spelling bad enough to make me miss the meaning of the post. After all, I was a teacher and I think I saw just about every spelling error know to the English (American) speaking world.

I mostly double check my posts after writing them and if needed I will edit them for a better comprehension . A spelling checker drives lazy on the long run.
