Hi Ya'll from Mississippi

    I am researching my father-in-laws service in the War in the ETO. He was in the 120th Infantry Regiment , 30th Infantry Division, Old Hickory. We have some audio of him discussing his experiences as a nineteen year old Sargent with his grandson. His grandson is now my nineteen year old son. I have promised my family that we will return to Europe to visit the sites that he described in his interview with my son. He told me many times that he walked all the way across Belgium, chased the Germans all the way to Magdeburg, Germany, came home on the Queen Mary. We just want to fill in the gaps. Thanks for having me on the site.

    Welcome on this fine forum. You lay want to start a thread in our information request section if you wish. Also I recently put a picture of a Queen Mary plate found at a local flea market in France.

    Thank you guys for the warm welcome! And thanks especiallyto Slipdigit for guiding me to the Old Hickory discussion. I am trying to learn as much as I can so that I can pass this memory on to my son. We must never forget the sacrifices that this generation gave for us to be free.
