Hi guys, Came across this forum whilst googling info about the TV series "Band of Brothers", which I've just watched for the second time from start to finish over the last two days. I've always been fascinated by WWII, especially the European theatre and was partly this interest that lead me into joining the Army Air Corps. Been a civilian for some 20 years now but my interest in WWII and all things military has never dulled. These days I quench my thirst by watching war movies, building scale models and going to the odd airshow and military museum. Anyway, this is suposed to be an introduction, not a novel, lol so I'll catch up with you all on the boards.

Thanks again for the warm welcome, folks. Certainly looks like I found a great place to hang out. Airbourne Medic, I have an interest in all things military, not just the Staffordshire regiments. Unfortunately most of the county regiments have been almalgamated together. The Staffords are now the "3rd Battalion, Mercian Regiment", which is a travesty if you ask me. Why the politicians can't leave tradition alone is beyond me.
