Hey guys. I am brand new to the WW2 forums and figured Id introduce myself. I have just moved to New Zealand from the U.S. (Texas) and am so far enjoying it. Any other members from New Zealand?

I have been doing WWII reenacting and living history for two years now and I am really enjoying it. I have always been interested in military history but my real passion is WWII. Two years ago I learned about the ability to live out my dream of stepping into the past by taking up reenacting. I was 16 at the time (I am 18 now) and could not legally fire a weapon on field so I have been carrying ammo belt and 30 cal ammo tins up until about a month ago. I have just joined a reenacting group over here in New Zealand (82nd ABN 505th PIR Historical Reenacting Society) and have really been enjoying the members.

I hope to get to know some of you guys one here and chat about reenacting, WWII games and movies and WWII history in general.

    Talk to yall soon,
    Robert

Lol I dont know much about walking upside down but I know that they do everything backwards here haha. They drive on the wrong side of the road and they have the wheel on the wrong side of the car. Its going to take a while for me to get used to

Hello Robert! As Slip mentioned, there are a few Kiwis -- and a boat load of Texans! You will feel at home here. What brought you to NZ?

    Cheers!

Are you on the North Island or the South Island? And did you move on your own or with family? I've long been contemplating a move to New Zealand, and my growing hatred of Florida is pressing me to want to move ASAP.

I made the move with my family who are going to open up a coffee house here. We bought into a coffee franchise from Canada that is doing pretty well here in New Zealand called Esquires. The shop should be up and running at the end of August.

Right now we are up in Whangaparaoa (pronounced Funga-Pa-Rowa) which is 30-40 minutes north of Auckland and I just love it. Its a great country and everyone is so nice. Anyways....Mussolini if you would like you can email me at ramborob17xgmail.com (replace x by @ please) and we can talk about it. I can send you pics of the country and answer any questions you have since I just have moved I can tell you the + and -s of the country.

Hello and welcome to this fine forum. I took the liberty to slighty change the email on your post to avoid spambots from picking it up.
