It's hard to read, but the third word is Absturz (crash) and it's about 1940. I don't know whether it's a celebration for a score or the picture of a crash site. I would need to see the pic for further identification.
Hmm, allow me some time. They are either Luftwaffe or Flak that's for sure. It seems they are about to have a little reunion, so I will focuss on the ceremony hypothesis first. It doesn't seem to be something formal as they have no parade uniforms, so my guess is that they are about to go out to celebrate a score.
Jesus, what a horrible handwriting!! The begining says: fertig zur Abfahrt nach .... den 28th Sept. 1940 Ready to (Abfahrt - means usually transport by train or truck) out to ..?... the 28th Sept. 1940. Then something that might read as: please pick me up immediatly And then: Sei bitte so gut und lasse uns nur ..?... alleine ..?.. mit ...?.. ...?.. kurzen ...... schoenen Urlaub ....... He is writing something like: Please be so kind as to let only us ... alone ..... with .... ..... short ..... beautiful holiday ....... Hi Andy, I hope you don't mind sometime soon but, i'll need your services for a translation of a Document I got recently from Gebirgs Artillerie Regiment 79-which is their Regimentstagesbefehl from September 6th 1942. It's rather "wordy" and I can't make out much of what it says but think it has something to do with I guess some heroism from several men serving in that Regiment including a Major le Fort.

You are right Kruska it's Abfahrt, not Abschuss. The reading alowed me to decypher the first word as well which says Fertig (ready) , so the beginning is Ready for departure to...... on June 28th 1940. I still need to find out the place.
Skipper, Kruska, Thank you very much for the information. I saw this was a Luftwaffe photo on ebay and for 99 cents I couldn`t pass it up. They never mentioned there was writing on the back of it, so that turned out to be a bonus!!
Hello Skipper, I believe the first letter on the date/month to be an S, so it could only be September in abriv. Sept. If it would be June (German Juni) there would be a -(stroke) above the u. and a . (dot) on the i at the last letter. Regards Kruska
