Nice collection. Did my eyes decieve me but-did I also see a Swiss Helmet in there? Also, were the two German lids M-42s? The pics didn't expand to intended size for me so I couildn't see great details.
Yes 1 Swiss. that one got me started on the international helmets the 1 german is actually a Spanish probally a 70's era. and i think the other is a post war German. I am more of a USGI collector. Skip
Hi Skip, that's cool. I always wanted a Swiss lid. Did you know that I think it's Chile-whose military wear M-35's which are identical to the German M-35s and also made I heard) on the same machines that made their most classic WWII lids on. I've been hoping to meet someone from there and see if I can get a few of those lids-then have them professionally repainted and original decals on. The guy in mind to have do this is strictly a legit restorer and will do something by marking his work somehow? to make sure people do not try selling the redos ar period originals. I have to give that guy a double thumbs up. Wish I could say I collect American-all I have are my Dads WWII and Korean War stuff, as well as my Grandfathers stuff. Other than that-all I have basically-is Imperial and WWII German stuff. PS, welcome to this site ;-))
Nice looking collection! is there a HitlerjugendKnife laying next to those paratrooper gloves and compass.? Greets Thompson.
A very nice collection. I see a pr of gloves in the back on your shelter half display, are they the cavalry/airborne ones? Ray
