Fisherman finds WWII plane in San Diego reservoir "SAN DIEGO—A World War II Navy bomber that has been buried at the bottom of Lower Otay Reservoir in San Diego for more than six decades may soon be removed from the murky water. A team of divers from the U.S. Navy, the city and a private recovery company will examine the bomber's wreckage on Thursday in hopes of seeing if the SB2C-4 Helldiver is worth salvaging. The plane was forced into a water landing in 1945 during a practice bombing run from a nearby aircraft carrier. The crew survived, but the Navy decided to leave it. In February, bass fisherman Duane Johnson spotted the plane's outline in 85 feet of water on his electronic fish finder. He contacted authorities and now some history buffs want the Helldiver in a museum." Hey I caught a trout once http://www.mercurynews.com/california/ci_12891224?nclick_check=1
THe only non-fish things I ever found were old worn out tires, empty beer cans, and a kitchen sink once. I kid you not, a split in half KITCHEN SINK!
Never caught a sink before! Cool! I've caugth lots of fishing nets, pieces, and lots of broken coral pieces too, that's about it.
its funny but sad because it just shows the lack of care people give to the waters, that everyone can list every nonfish item they caught, ive caught a few too, they gave me a heck of a fight, moreso then a fish would
Wow what a great find. Hope to hear more on this one. As for the non fish things, my son caught a real live one, a duck. It dove for his live bait while he was reeling in.
