SS cap

Is this a real SS cap? ( I think it is )



It's a replica and maybe i'm going to buy it.
And also, does someone know from what this cap is? ( Gestapo, Waffen SS etc )

Caps not real. You can tell from the cheap looking material. Also the insignia is painted and stamped white metal. Other than that, I know not much about ss caps.

Poor quality insignia (skull and eagle) and the material looks brand new and very clean!

I'm not sure what pizza devil is asking - they say it's replica and want to know if it's real? I think he might mean is it a correct repro.

 

Not even a good repo at that. I admit that I don't know squat about SS stuff-cept for my own stuff-but even I can tell that's a bad cap. Also, the cap material should be made out of the same quality of material the Officers stuff is mae from. I know that's a fact at least with Army stuff. Also, pics of the inside would have been nice to see which would have also been a clincher in authenticating this piece.

I remember seeing ads in and on the backs of Comic Books in the 70s, and 80s from dealers selling repop capa-they looked exactly like this one-sold I THINK for about $19.95.

 

oh yes,.....very bad repo.....looks very "plastic" .....stay clear, even if you can only afford a repo, you should be able to find a better one

here is an expample of a real waffen ss cap... and compare it to your picture. (I cannot really confirm 100 percent but it looks real, it claims it's real, it was sold at an web auction)
