Hi all, After having joined this morning I took Otto's advice and thought I'd just let everyone who I am and why I signed up as I imagine I'll be posting quite a bit from time to time. I'm 48 and live in central France but was born in the middle of England. Always had an interest in aircraft and WWII and recently embarked on several amateur historical research projects, mostly linked to allied aircrew lost in or over France. Like everyone else, I often run into dead ends or just don't know where and how to find certain information. I've also worked up a little bit of knowledge of my own that I'll gladly share if it can help someone else out so don't hesitate ! Hennie is the name of my chestnut mare, which along with birding and building my own wooden house at the moment, is one of the things that keeps me out of trouble.
Howdy, Hennie! Welcome to the forums. Building your own house must be something. Can't say I've ever had a horse or even ridden one, but I love them. I bet your mare is rather pretty. What's France like? I've never been outside North America.
Welcome, Hennie (and your owner too) to a fine place. There's plenty of knowledge available and people willing to share. Ask, and post away.
Hennie, Good to have you with us, dont be shy... and have fun here There are plenty of helpful rogues to keep you interested. Hope you stick around Mark
Hi Hennie, Central France? you are a way down the demarcation line, and anything beyond the Loire river is South for us here, even the climate changes . Anyway welcome to this great forum and enjoy your stay here!
