Rene, Your web site tribute to the 30th Division of Old Hickory is incredible. The list of the men who were killed is such a powerful statement. Backus - Private Floyd J. Hanley - Private Walter A. Schrader - Private Clarence Thompson - Private These are the names from my Father's list of the 120th Infantry Anti Tank Company, 30th Division. Hello Custon, The phone number for the Max P. Foster I have in California still doesn't answer. There is no answering machine on the line to even leave a message. Guiseppe daughter hasn't contacted me. Can you tell me what State Guiseppe lives in now? IBBARR
Hey Rene! This lady is looking for information about her Uncle who was in the 120th Infantry, 30th Division of "Old Hickory" who was KIA January 15, 1945. Here is her message. pierceatpc "I am the niece of Tech Sergeant Glenn M. Bakken who was killed 1/15/45 in Battle of Bulge. He would have been 88 now. I assume the following: he was in the 120th Infantry Regiment and the 30th Infantry Div. He trained in Tenn 9/1943; then Camp Atterbury, Ind from 11/43 to 1/44. He arrived England 2/44 and landed on Omaha Beach 6/15/44. I welcome info for genealogy. Darlene in MN. I have her e-mail if you need it. You have his name in your list KIA from your web page. Can you help "pierceatpc" track down information? IBBARR
I am the niece of Tech Sergeant Glenn M. Bakken killed 1/15/45 in Battle of Bulge (I believe Thirimont). I'm assuming: He trained in Tenn 9/1943; then Camp Atterbury, Ind from 11/43 to 1/44. He arrived in England 2/44 & landed on Omaha 6/15/44. Info needed for genealogy--particularly verification of unit. Darlene in MN
All info currently available for Bakken is shown at http://www.IndianaMilitary.org. Select "30th Division" in top row, then "Roster" in left-hand drop-down menu. The reconstructed roster contains info on more than 25,000 members. Most info is supplied by the Camp Blanding Museum. If you note any mistakes and omissions, please let me know. This roster is prepared in conjunction with Frank Tower's site. Jim West Indiana.Military@FranklinISP.net

HI Rene, 39261203 Service Number for Max P. Foster. My son is helping me look for Max. He is a computer wiz like most kids. Hopefully he can get more information before it's to late for Guiseppe. Jerry
Rene' Thank you for your input to this forum as well as the memorial site dedicated to the 30th Infantry Division. My great-grandfather served with the 119th Infantry Regiment during 1945 so although he was not one of those who passed through your village your dedication is greatly appreciated.
