Hello, I am Patrick or MRD for short! :) A little bit about myself . . . to start, I am a direct descendant of a USAFFE soldier, a defender of Bataan, and survivor of the "Death March."

The reason I joined this forum was because I feel that I needed to share the experiences of my grandfather to those who cannot forget the trauma and the hardships that the Second World War has brought upon our forefathers.

If you have any questions, or did you serve in the Philippines as a defender (USAFFE) or a liberator, or a fellow comrade who lost a kin in the battle in the Philippines, please do not hesitate to contact me, or share a thread.

    Thanks again. :)

I am sure it is! I am planning to share some photos in this forum, maybe, some Corregidor and Bataan pix, if, this is okay with you guys? Hehehe. :)

One thing, can you please teach me how to post pictures in the forum?

    Thanks in advance!

My father served with 307th Infantry in Phillipine Liberation. He served but would never talk about it.

Hello Kathy! Thanks for the "welcome"! I hope someday, he will talk about the liberation 'cause there are things that it is better to be said than keep it to ourselves. :)

There are several WW2 vets on the forum. lfkirby, WMarlow, soutwestpacificvet, and fighterpilot come to mind. Look through the members list. The vets are listed in blue type.
