Yes, the man has worn out many keyboards, double-clicked many mouses into rubble and never gets tired of talking about John Wayne and classic movies. At the rate of his progress, he will pass the the NINETEEN-THOUSAND post count sometimes this week. Congrats Carl, 20K is not that far away.... His computer accessory salesman must love him!
19,000 approaching and another target met carl, well done...cant wait to see what happens to you at 20,000! will you ride off into the sunset? "That'll be the day"!!! ha! ha!best regards,ray..
What?!?!?! Already?? I thought I....thanks A/, Ray, Kai ;-)) If it weren't for Gents like you who force me to participate???..... ;-)) Speaking of needing a replacement keyboard, I could use a new one. The keys are massively sticking on this one which accounts for a percentage of my spelling errors ;-)) Speaking of milestones, had I stayed at a popular Air War site, which I jioined before this place by about a year or so-i'd probably be at about 25,000 there and had I sstayed at another miltary history site, i'd probably be about 30,000 there. At another site, I just passed 6,000, still another I passed 1,200 and finally at another-400 ;-)) I expect before retirement, that the average person here will have at least 30,000 posts under their belts ;-))
When does the man sleep???? He must have Red Bull delivered directly to his house from the manufacturer.
I'm only 17,701 away! Congrats Carl Evans a feat worthy of recognition. Thank you for making this forum, as well as the others who participate... you know who you are a wonderful place to converse and talk WWII. all the best, Jem
You've only got me by a factor of 10. At this rate, I'll hit 20,000 in about 20 years. I'm hot on your tail, Carl.
Heh heh, Skipper, John, A, Jem, Lou, Slava, Skipper, that's a classic animated piece. I had not ridden a Horse since....?????? Obi Wan Kenobi was an infant ;-)) John, thanks and it means a lot coming from you as well ;-)) A/ my night job is as a Vampire-I never sleep whoooo-ooo-ooo-oo-ahhh--wahhh---hahahahahaaaaaa. Jem, actualy, I think your doing pretty darn good youself for the time you have been here. I mean, I don't think I reached 1,000 in that same time period. Thumbs up to ya though. Lou, for now that is ;-)) Your doing as well as Jem and I can see a close race developing between you two Gents-and looking forward to it. Thank you Slava    Im just practicing being a Soviet ;-)) Just kidding mi amigo ;-))
a hearty congrats from Herr Possinger Carl. 16th Kompanie Geb. rgt./ ? now go do some research on the man and have fun
Hi T/ Well not exactly Suger, more like a mixture of Splenda, Sweet-n-Low and Equal ;-)) And many thanks, your doing a good job of participation yourself ;-))
Hi E, thanks and great photo of him. Believe it or not? but when we-Susanne and I, ate dinner with him, he spoke excellent English and didn't look much more different than the great shot of him you posted here ;-)) BTW, where did you get the pic at? I'd love to add a nice shot like that of him into my small collection ;-)) BTW, that is one heck of a sharp tunic and cap he has-as these are tailor made items. Those collartabs are also super sharp.
At my posting rate, it'll take me somewhere close to another 30 years to reach that mark! I'm the longest tenured poster, but have a really low post count. I think I'm approaching the 10-years-on-the-forum mark, so that makes the math a little simpler.
Hi Jason, Musso, Brad, Jason, always mate. Heck, who COULDN'T support such a Duke fan? ;-)) Musso, what you post is always well-said and very wise. I've become a fan of reading your thoughts. I look forward to your keeping things in perspective. Brad, thank you very much ;-)) I look forward to reading your stuff as well and, I have to give you due credit in teaching me more about US militaria=which is soemthing I lack much in. Thanks Gents and, over the next some 8 weeks, ill be here more than usual as ill have to be off my feet for that time thanks to upcoming surgery on both feet. I don't know how my butt will be able to stand it spending so much more time in a chair. Oh and thanks to being placed on Gilligans Island for that duration, I promise, I WILL be updating that Books about the Eastern Front thread as well as trying to complete the thread about opinions on approx 50 Militaria Dealers ;-))
You know Carl you can go down to your local sex-toy/accessory shop and get one of those suspension contraptions that allow you to hang face down to keep the load off your feet while they are re-habilitating. You can set it up at your desk, and climb in and just hang there, banging on the key board all day and all night....
