It's getting worse now Reid has cooked the books to make the senate version appear to save 280 billion dollars. As a commentator said, "Very creative financial exercise!"

I really like the gall these folks have: pay into the system 10 years and only get 6 years of coverage; the taxes start now (if passed) but the "benefits" dont start until 2014!

 

I understand your grief that you can not force your ideas on everyone else BUT do not call the system I use a disaster
You have far too many faults in your own 'Health Service' to be able to criticise others. Start with your infant Mortality rates. How many posters are 'absent' from this forum due to the higher deaths during birth?

What I did was link to "disasters" that happened in your country as reported by your news sources. Not sure if you read them or not but they seem to be problems to me. These are not things I've heard have happened here with our system.

You can like whatever system you care to. I wasn't debating whether you should fix your system or not. I tend not to get involved in your business. I'm debating our system so you won't be a part of it. Feel free to debate but it matters not an iota to me what you think as a non-citizen who won't be affected. If you have insight that would be helpful as we are deciding whether to do this or not, it would be appreciated, but to just throw out what you did isn't.

I doubt Americans as a whole wish to force anything on you. Quite the contrary in fact, do whatever you like over there in grand ol' England, have a jolly great time. But, as far as calling GB's system a disaster, that is where I diverge with your opinion, Mr. tfer13 can say what he likes about it, free speech and all, and you may retort in any manner you see fit.

Call something 'we' think is good and you will get my opinion, welcome or not.
It may interest you to know we get regular horror stories about your Health System but I doubt if you will link those articles.
Fight your own fights but please dont insult me or anyone else to make cheap political points against your President.

Nothing cheap about my points or the program. Trillions. That's why it should be debated. Unfortunately, only one side is writing this program behind closed doors.

Again, feel free to add something useful to convince me. What you do adds nothing. You take this too personally. What we are doing has nothing to do with you so don't feel threatened.

 

Michael Kenny, I wouldn't mind at all if you too participated in making cheap political points at our Pres as HE does deserve every one of them. However, you view things through tunnel vision as always, and it always takes someone you hate most in the world who throws it all back at ya-a true American Patriot. That is something that our eh hem' and I use this term on this occasion VERY loosely-dear president Jethrobama Bodine aint one of.

Can you please PLEASE tell me what OLDD has accomplished here that is NOT detrimental to our COuntry. Hell, EVERY TIME he opens his mouth, he greatly weakens the Nation. But then again, that s EXACTLY what those who hate-and also hate American and Americans-definately want.

Well, ill tell you something buster, next year we Patriots WILL clean house-and possibly some senate too. Once that starts to happen, your """""""""""""Rock Star""""""""""""" will no longer be a rock star who can keep weakening this nation. Hell, the Chinese are laughing at us as well as most of the rest of the world-moist of those people living in those COuntries, probably still cannot believe it that we have such a weakling as the leader of the free world.
