There are about 5-6 people here who I promised to send out copies of my WWII photo collection to-that are now finally all on CDs. It's taken the photo studio far too long-from the beginning of May till -sometime today when they will finally be finished) and they are supposed to be delivered to me sometime today. Anyway, once I get these back, all I have to do is to findtime to go get copies of the CDs made-which takes only a few minutes per copy to do. Also, as im about to relocate soon, ill have to wait to get these out sometime in December. I still will not have all my WWII pics on CD-but over 300 to near 400, will be on these CDs. I was wanting to get these out much sooner but, I had to endure delay after delay after delay, to get these done. Anyway, I just wanted to let those several people know that my pics are FINALLY done or will be done by this evening and back into my hands. So, like I say, as soon as the relocation is done and things settle down a bit, ill have copies of all made and will start sending them out.
I don't have the ability to post my pics but, if really interested in wanting to see most of my photo collection? please let me know and I can tell you more. Im in the process of relocating to another City at this time, so, if interested? it will be about a month before I can get copies of my photo CDs in the mail. ;-)) Cheers--C.
Of course i am interested I have seen how much stuff you get almost daily, when you post in the "Newest Militaria Purchase" Thread, and i am curious of how much you actually have
Cheers Collector, I WISH I could afford to buy things on a daily basis but-not untill I win the lottery ;-)) Number of original period photos-somewhere over 400-most are German. I've never counted my number of other items. Probably about 16 or so pairs of Collartabs, possibly about 30 or so pairs of shoulderboards, approx 30 Iron Crosses from different times-starting with 1870, 1914, 1939 and 1957. Right now and thanks to two gents on this site-I now have 12 Infantry Assault Badges. About 15 documents or so-most being for awards, others for other things. 3 Arm Shields, Idon't know how many WMC w/Swords 2nds I have, same goes for Frozen Meat Medals. I have two (really hige collection of) Panzer Assault badges, 2-3 General Assault Badges, a few KM and LW badges, several Imperial medals and badges, about 30 or so ribbonbars, 1 flag, one helmet, two overseas caps, 1 visor, 1 tunic, 3 Walther P-38 holsters, several WWII and pre WWII firearms, several bayonets and such, some several odd and ends insignia, several stickpins, three cased awards-possibly a 4th one soon ;-)) and I don't know what all else I have? The above is not much I admit but, still aint a bad little collection )
congrats carl on getting the photos converted to cd's.......i can see why it would take time with so many to scan!
Hi Andy, thank you and, your included in this if you want CD copies? I still have probably a good 50 or so more that need to be scanned. These are from my friend Karl Kaiser. These show his time with Wolfgang Luth to KzS Friewald as well as Christmas parties and his DKiG award Ceremony in Singapore ;-)) Im not sure how long it will be before I get these transferred? As for the rest, I can make copies of them but don't know if I could et them out in Dec or not? as I have several things to get out already. But im sure by sometime in January, I can send more stuff out-after I recover a bit ;-)) Let me know if you'd like a copy of each CD? and ill get them made soon as possible ;-)) Take care Mate--C.
Hi Andy, great mate, they are yours soon as I get resettled and on my way to ze copiers ;-)) Lets see, thats at least 10 sets I need to make-not problem ;-))
