My mannequin US

    i didnt show any of my collection yet here, only pics of my trip.
    so heres what im proud of.. everything is original.. only thing i have doubt about are the decals on the helmet..the paint contains lead btw..

    i call him Captain Kemp after the captain that fought in the Battle of the Bulge in the 28th infantry division

    the shoes are still missing, so if anyone can hook me up :rolleyes:

    You are probably going to have real trouble finding original boots, due to the time which has passed. And remember that the two-buckle boots were "rough out", not finished leather. That doesn’t age as well as finished/polished leather.

    You might be forced to go with a "reproduction" boot in that case, if so these guys have pretty good quality stuff even if it is from Mexico. They supply lots of gear for Hollywood and their movies.

    a few updates on this gi allready done again..! (ssst best update on the bottom :p)

    the medic pouch was post WW2, so it had to move asap..

    and replaced by this one..

    its a khaki one and looks so much better..!!

    also it has a nice camo net cut from a larger vehicle net

    it has a wirecutter one the belt also..

    and a very nice looking bandoleer..

    its recieved new wool gloves.. the one i had were post WW2..

    dont have a pic of them yet, but also looks better..

    for rest period he has a 1944 meat can ..

    Great shoes, the ones I have are form the Dutch army from the 1950s and look very similar.

    an present for my soldier...

    a nice shovel, he allready had the folding one, but wanted the older one because of the kahki pouch. Still looking for that btw...

    If you look on the top you'll see that the face of the G.I. was way to white. Okay it was cold but it was not matching with the complete look of the mannequin.
    So i used some airbrush and added shadings and camo.

    haha yeah. The name on the dogtag is Peter M. Rizzo. Found some information about him on the internet.
