    Hello there,

First of all, I'm doing a historical research of someone who is not related. I work for the Belgian Veterans Institute and we will launch a project for schools to remember the second world war and soldiers who died in Belgium during that world war. I already chose a soldier who is burried on an American cemetery in Belgium. I know he was a second lieutenant from the 82nd reconnaissance battalion. He died on the 28th december 1944 (probably during the battle of the ardens).

Can someone give me usefull information on how to find more biographical information of the soldier in question. I already found some info on the net on the 82nd reconnaissance battalion, but I'm still in search of more detailed information on that battalion (I would for instance like to find out in which platoon the soldier was serving that I am researching)...

    Can someone help me?

    Thanks in advance!

The 2nd Lieutenant's name is Robert S. Frost.

I did a quick research on the national archives but didn't find anything!
