Hello all, first post here. We recently came across my grandfather's discharge papers and I was hoping someone could help decipher some of the info on it. He passed away in 1979 and never really talked about his service so any help would be appreciated. Here is the info from his discharge papers. Particularly interested in the abbreviations in the Personal Marks section. We assume most if not all of it has to do with his injuries aboard the USS Amick (DE-168) where he lost his leg.
