just thought i'd say hi via the questionnaire (great idea)

name's pete, prefer cl0wn it's my username for fishkeeping forums i am a member of (1 i help mod) cl0wn 'cos i like clownfish. yup boring

    2. Age: How old are you? How long have you been interested in WWII?

i'm 34 and have been interested in WWII for the past 5 or so years. grandfather served, but didn't like to talk about it. have developed an interest and have been reading some great books on D-Day, Dunkirk, Easy company. mainly european conflict. now would like to research my grandfather's military life. My grandmother also took in kids from the kindertransporten, which i'm also researching.

    3. Origins: Where are you from?

    middlesbrough, england.

    4. Specifics: What areas of WWII are you interested in? What would you like to know more about?

My grandfather had europe and africa stars, so would appreciate pointers to good books on african conflicts.

    5. Hobbies: What sort of Hobbies do you have? Are any related to World War II? Wargaming? Video-games? Memorabilia? Visiting historic sites?

mainly reefkeeping, travel and darts (and WWII obviously)

    6. Other: What other time periods are you interested in? Specific eras? Why?

might start reading on WWI, because i don't know that much about it.

    7. Miscellaneous: Anything else you'd like to share with us?

just to add that this looks a great, friendly, helpful site!

Welcome aboard, cl0wn. There's lots of information around and plenty of helpful folk, as well. Take a look at the WW2 publications forum for lots of book suggestions and reviews. Hope to hear more from you.
