    the japaese g4m betty bombers could carry a torpedo for attacks on shipping. question.. was the torpedo called thunderfish?? thank you rudolph

    Thanks DA I found it interesting the way the explosive charge increased with each passing year. :eek:

    Yes, increasing the size/power of the warhead was a common thing for many countries throughout WW II. With Aerial torpedoes, it was also common to beef up the structure of the torpedo, and strength of the mechanical parts, to allow dropping the torpedo from greater heights and higher speeds, allowing the delivery platform to become more survivable.
