which part of ww2 would you have liked to be part of? assuming you had a choice...and why would you want to be there?.

 

I chose North Africa.

North Africa for me as well. It was a more "gentlemanly" fought war there, if something can be called that.

My second choice would be France. Lots of women there....

 

me! I went for italy,monte cassino,ferreting out the fallschirmjager from the monastery...

 

I picked Holland/Belgium because the war wasnt as bad there as the wars other fronts. Also, they still had pahlenty of fine Chocolates to eat

North Africa. After 1943. Someone has to look after the POWs.

 

I'd prefer Italy or France.

North Africa, while a more gentlemanly war, was also an extremely harsh climate. Extreme heat (water shortages were a real issue) sand getting everywhere, baking tanks, mirages, sand-storms, etc. Not my idea of a 'good time' (and probably why it was so gentlemanly, since the climate was so harsh!).

 

I'd prefer France. Not Italy...that'd be last on my list next to the Eastern Front.
