Hey all, I'm doing a project on Operation Varsity and I have yet to find a good site with a whole bunch of info on this Operation. I would use Wikipedia but, my teacher won't let us because that site in unreliable. Does anyone know any sites I can use or even books that will help me? Also what has happened before this Operation in the war? I have read a couple books and sites, they were very vague of what really happened before and during this Operation. Thanks, Emily
As a start, try using the Search function on this site. Operation Varsity has been widely discussed, and I'm sure that if you read through some of the threads, appropriate books and materials can be found. We are not in the habit of completing assignments, but will assist you in going in the right direction. Good luck.
Thank you for responding. I'll try using this site's search. I understand and I didn't want anyone to do this assignment for me. It actually does interests me and it makes me frustrated that I can't find any appropriate info. Thanks, I'll need luck. I've been at searching for days.
you can simply check Goggle as there are at least 7 pages of links, combine and process and continue the research also ww2f's sister site ww2talk.com and check their search function
Thanks, Erich but I have been looking through those and most don't help me with what my teacher is asking for. I'll continue to look though. I'll try their site function as well.
Sgt. Robert Robson (ret.) Memoirs. WWII and Korea. Here's a start..... Regarding your question on what happened before, you may need to do a google search for a World War II timeline in order to orient yourself since Operation Varsity occurred near the end of the War.
see if this meets your requirements...lots of info/data/pics/etc,etc. Rhine Crossing (Operation Varsity) | ParaData
