Yeah this has been a fiasco...but the severance package they are giving him might make up for it.

Unfortunately in that business, thinking about his employees probably isn't first on his mind. Conan has always been my favorite late night guy. I can't stand Letterman, Leno hasn't been funny for years. Not that I ever stay up late enough to watch anymore.

I'm sure another network will pick up Conan, I don't watch his show but he seems to be an influential person, one that can generate the views!

It was STRONGLY rumored by Bill O'Reilly a ew days ago, that Conan will most likely move over to join the Fox Network Team in some capacity. What he would do over there? one can only speculate but-I suspect it could be something like whats-his-face? Miller-does.

I too like Craig Ferguson. Craig is from England and just about a year ago-he got his American citizenship.

Great jokes about NBC and Leno last night again. We see the shows a week late due to translation. Sad to think it´s his last show for a while on Friday. But I´m sure Conan has not said his last word. Conan rules! :)

Yes he does rule!! Well when he becomes unemployed with NBC , he can always move to Finland and be president Tarja Halonen's body double!

On his monologue the other night he said he was this many days away from the biggest drinking binge in history. Hahaha. I hope he catches a show on another network.

    thanks Carl...

Conan kept airing how much he looked like the Finnish president and even started a campaign to get her re-elected because he looked so much like her. . hehe

I don't know which is worse ... Conan looking like a woman or a woman looking like Conan,, lol

YouTube - Conan O'Brien celebrates Tarja Halonen

He even went so far as to visiting Finland.. I'm sure Kai remembers those episodes

I never realized he was so tall!

I also hear that he will be receiving something like 80 million! Im sure that will make up for some of the inconvenience and embarrassment.

I believe it is 45 million, but not too bad a severance package I would guess. I'd take it he also fought for a package for the rest of his crew as well, maybe the 80 is with the package he got his crew included?

Yes, you might be right. I heard it on the radio on the way to work and the announcement was ending as I turned the volume up. I might have very well missed some parts. Either way I feel bad for the guy but that lump some should do him wonders. :D

Here's the story line I got earlier today, and the 45 million was with the cast and crew money included.

NEW YORKConan O'Brien bid NBC good riddance Thursday in a $45 million deal for his exit from "The Tonight Show," but his immediate future in television remains a question mark.

The contentious two-week battle that would allow NBC to unseat O'Brien and move Jay Leno back to the program he hosted for 17 years, comes less than eight months after O'Brien took the "Tonight" throne from Leno.

Under the deal, O'Brien will get more than $33 million, NBC said. The rest will go to his 200-strong staff in severance.
