HATE the Current Direction of the History Channel?

No Urqh, they where using the British flags to mark out British positions on a map.

The German positions where marked out by little pictures of Tigers...

 

I only watch the history channel for 2 reasons, 1, the photo's and video's and 2, sometimes they make a reference to something I know nothing about, and it gets me interested to research some more.

I used to watch the History channel for quality programming and the food channel for quality chefs. Both suck, no other way to put it.

Good programming like World At War, Battlefield(the first season), Wings of the Luftwaffe, and good documentaries hosted by Roger Mudd(see Ted Kennedy interview CBS) and Edward Hermann.

The nonsense about the Hitler Channel is just ramblings of liberal wankers.
The real nazis burned books and censored free press, seems to me Hugo Chavez is following that playbook.

THC is or was owned by NBC/Disney so you can see the influences at work. Don't teach History just put on Liberal reality crap to soften the minds of youth. Thank the Gods for DVD players.

NBC and their affiliates aren't performing very well these days due in large part to the garbage they broadcast as journalism. They can't even get the Late nite thing right. For as long as they have morons like Jeff Zucker and Jeff Immelt running things you will see more of the same.

What on earth are you on about? How is it the 'rambling of a liberal wanker' to suggest that there is more to history than 'Was Hitler Gay?' and 'Weren't the SS the coolest thing ever?' There is more to history than just WW2//Nazi Germany.

And whilst we are at it, how about a little less of the bad language/insults?
