Do you remember that 2nd Kompanie of Panzer Regiment Roster I scored last year? Well, one such Offz who was in that unit and name listed on that list, became an Aide to General Guderian. I tied these in with the same officer who is seen in two of my Guderian photos. The guy was also a tall Dude. I have yet to dig out any militaria but I have been wanting to dig out that roster so I can finally post this mans name in the proper thread. Anyway, apparently his Daddy, must have had lots of "pull" with Guderian and im also thinking that Daddy too, was a Heneral ;-))

Photo Nr 1-additional info: This is an Barbarossa photo which shows some soldiers running into smoke. I cant make out the few words as there is paper glued to it-aka-ripped out of a photo album) and I tried everything I could to remove it but no luck.

Photos Nr 2) Army Flak vehicle guarding one of the Narew Bridges,. The writing I can make out looks like: Stellung an der Narew Brucke June 24-26 1941.

Photo Nr 3) Army Flak vehicle on the move-sometime shortly before the start of barbarossa. This vehicle is passing a Bahnhof at someplace called either Royan or Koyan. The info on back as far as I can make out says: Auf dem Fahnhof, durch Koyan/Royan-zum Bahnhof. Richts: Die wohung, in dem eine galfse 3. znges wohnle.

Photo Nr 4) Shows a Leutnant just awarded his IAB. There is writing on the back but is covered by paper fromm it being ripped out of an photo album. I THINK its the mans name as I do recognize that it says Leutnant-somethingorother.

Photo 5) another combat photo showing smoke in near distant background with a low hill behind it. Has lots of info on back and this pic is related to all in this group, and the info looks like: Seidebvand wahvend des Sidechtsschiessen bei La, Tvembloden??/ Or something like that.

Thank you FG, and one of my top favorites from this lot was also the one with the Medic and his gear. I had hoped to get a few more from that particular groupimg but no dice thanks to the sslow computer. Those nighttime pics are also some of my favorites and especially since they were an Army unit and not LW ;-))

I love this shot. The Gent to the extreme left is Gegirgsjager General Julius "Papa" Ringel. The little info I have on this is that it took place shortly before a major operation he was involved in on. I dont have the ingfo handy to tell more but will try to do so soon as possible.

Glad I finally had some time to give a hand and sorry for the delay Carl, Mrs Skipper made me clean the garage after work. She was getting fed up of the relics so there were some priorities.
The Ringel pic is certainly a must, You can clearly see the fatherly figure

Hi Skipper, thank you and also no prob/ Heh heh, I had to help a Brother clean up his house the other day. My brother seems not to understand to replace things where they are supposed to be.

Ringel sure does seem like a fatherly figure. The other photo I had-was a simular shot of him chatting with a larger group of lower-ranking men.
