this is how my current display looks, but I,m looking to have open shelved cupboard made to line them cross ways, 4 abreast,as the one I use for my avatar is still sitting on the floor..
I NEED your address Mate-so I can go there and steal your stuff ;-)) Just kidding and, NOW I know where all the spare German lids are at ;-))
I"ddforget about that new closet Ray , now you still have space to place 10more helmets on that same wall ..think we can better place bets here how long it will take you to fill that still empty space
cheers erich I wish!,I hoped to bump into one in sicily last yr,but no,but I keep looking and one day I'll get one for sure.ray
too bad they command such insane prices and that for a good one with liner and blue-grey or camo or sand/pink or ..........
serious money erich,£2000 is bottom line.and to spend that sort of money too, takes a lot of thinking about,ray..
Nice collection Ray, thanks for sharing. I recall a conversation I had with a WWII vet when I was a kid. It went something like this: me: "Did you ever run across any German helmets?" WWII vet: "Oh sure, they were laying around all over the place." me: "Really ... why didn't you grab one and bring it home with you?" WWII vet: "What, are you kidding? It was bad enough I had to lug my own helmet around, let alone carry another one!" me: "oh man!"
Ray, I got dibs on the 2nd one down on the left side! Priceless my friend Thanks for sharing. all the best, Jem
One? who said ONLY one? I wish to be greedy on this one and have em all  Skipper, got my one and only German lid-even if it was only a Luftschutze Gladiator.
I think that you should place them in an glass front enclosed cabinet. That way the helmets won't get dusty. Otherwise, the collection looks great Ray!
thanks bobby, the old dust, periodical dust off with mop, that is what my wife said too, glass fronted,ray..
There you go, the boss has spoken. Time to break out the checkbook and take the ole lady shopping now!
