I just finished watching the 'Manstain vs Vatutin' episode. I must say that this was one of the best documentaries I have seen. It had actual battle footage showing tanks getting hit, exploding, crews bailing out and men getting hit. A neat clip of a T-34 ramming a tank was shown. It had some of the typical archival footage but a lot of the rarer battle footage. Footage I have not previously seen. It will more than likely be reshown. Highly recommend it.
Thanks for the heads up on this series. Id never heard of it but will be keeping eyes peeled for it. What Day or days is it shown on and what time?
Military Channel shown every 6 hrs starting at 6:45am. This evening a new episode comparing Vandergrift vs Hyakutake.. Later in the week, Paulus vs Chuikov.
Hi Ike and thanks. No wonder I never heard of this series? we don't get the military channel on out line-up-Grrrr. Though im not into the war in the pacific--like I used to be but, the fight between Vandegrift and Hyakutake would be of great interest to me like Chuikov and APulus's would ;-))
this is all I have found so far: YouTube - Clash of Warriors Manstein vs Vatutin (Kursk) I'll keep looking
