its a hard topic to find info on. any good sources on the web you guys have, save me looking for a book (im reading too much at the moment!) what campaigns were there? when were they? nature of fighting?
Not sure how much battling was there in winter 1941-42, but starting late summer until early 1943 this is a very detailed book on those battles: Zhukov's Greatest Defeat: The Red Army's Epic Disaster in Operation Mars, 1942 In spring 1943 ( April?) the Germans gave the area away for free in order to straighten the line and thus free more troops for the upcoming Kursk operation. Sometimes even Adolf gave ground for free....
