Most companies though do the opposite and search for ex service folk in UK to employ. Disregarding Degree requirements for most jobs and relying on background and interview, where many civilians without degrees are not even considered.
I do not know how things work in the UK, but if this were to happen here in PA, I would be reporting this @$$ hole to the Better Business Bureau and the State Ethics Commission for discrimination. All the press release did was to attempt to justify an open policy of discrimination. A huge fine and loss of his business license could possibly follow.
